Noted Gandhian & Peace Activist Nirmala
Deshpande passed away on May 1, 2008 at New
Delhi at age 79. She came to USA 2003 and took
part in a play title 'Vinoba's Life' performed
at the Kellogg Center at MSU.
She walked 40,000 kms with Acharya Vinoba for
the largest land gift movement in the world and
worked tirelessly for Peace, Communal Harmony
and friendship between India and Pakistan & all
the South Asian nations.
