SAD DEMISE OF DIDI NIRMALA DESHPANDE
A
whole generation in Asia, particularly in
Pakistan and India witnessed Didi Nirmala
Deshpandes’relentless struggle for peace
among people of this region. Her commitment to
all sections of the society for national
integration and communal harmony remained
paramount throughout her life. In reality she
was a crusader and a great peace icon who
believed in building a stronger and a durable
relations among Asian countries.
She was engaged
in many peace organizations, but Association of
People of Asia (APA) was one such association
that was very dear to her heart which she had
personally nurtured to mobilize all sections of
the society for national integration and
communal harmony.
On behalf of (APA)
and its members, APA extends its deepest
condolences to the family of Didi and to the
peace loving people of Asia in sorrow and this
magnitude of loss and believes that to pay true
tribute to Didi, we the people of Asia should
relentlessly struggle for friendship among the
people of this region.
